SURTR crée une sombre atmosphère de doom metal traditionnel sur leur premier album World Of Doom. Le trio français peint le morose tableau du monde, utilisant les marques de fabrique des pionniers du doom metal.
Ils posent les bases d'émeutes prêtes à éclater, à travers un concept-album utilisant une analogie entre la légende du géant SURTR et les sociétés modernes.
